Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Tangier
We will meet you at the airport, ferry terminal, or any other place that is convenient. After settling at the hotel, there will be free time to explore whatever part of the city you like - the Mediterranean coast, the souks, or even the museums. We will have dinner at the hotel.
Day 2: Tangier - Chefchaouen
After breakfast we will drive through the Rif Mountains to the “blue city” of Chefchaouen. There are many shops to explore, and the alleyways in this town are some of the most photographed in the country. Sunset overlooking the valley is a must-see. After a day of exploring, we will have dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: Chefchaouen - Fes
After breakfast at the hotel, we will spend the entire day touring the city to visit historic sites and other places of interest including the souks, the gateway of the Royal Palace, Bab Boujloud (the welcoming gate to the cit), the Tomb of Moulay Idriss II, and of course the world-famous tanneries!.
Day 4: Fes - Azrou Forest & Ifrane - Beni Mellal - Marrakech
Today will be a travel day to Marrakech via the beautiful villages of Azrou and Ifrane in the Middle Atlas Mountains. We will stop at Azrou Forest in hopes of meeting the Barbary macaques who live there. From there we will continue on to Beni-Mellal for lunch. After lunch we will cross into the High Atlas mountains on our way to Marrakech, stopping often for pictures.
Day 5: Marrakech
Today will be spent exploring the “Red City” of Marrakech. Sites of interest include the Menara Gardens, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, and Koutoubia Mosque. In the afternoon we will go to Jemaa el Fna Square to explore the souks, shop for gifts/souvenirs, and watch the square transform from a shopping centre to an entertainment centre by nightfall. After enjoying the storytellers, snake charmers, and musicians, we will return to our hotel for a good night’s sleep.
Day 6: Marrakech- Casablanca
We will have time in the morning for breakfast and some last-minute exploration before we drive to Casablanca in the afternoon. We will arrive in time for dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: Casablanca -Tangier
After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the gorgeous Hassan II Mosque, one of the few mosques that offers tours to non-Muslim visitors. Afterwards we will drive north toward Tangier, arriving by late afternoon. We will have dinner at the hotel.
Day 8: Tangier
This is our last day. We will take you to the airport or ferry terminal - wherever you need to go - at the appropriate time. The exact details for the day will be decided when we plan the trip, based on your travel needs.
