Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Marrakech.
Start the morning off by visiting Jardin Majorelle, a beautiful botanical garden with vibrant colours and peaceful corners, created by artist Jacques Majorelle and later owned by Yves Saint Laurent. Then head to Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, known for its stunning minaret. Although non-Muslims can't enter, the surrounding gardens and view of the mosque are worth seeing. In the Afternoon/Evening, spend time in Jemaa el-Fnaa, the lively square in the heart of the medina. By evening, the square fills with food stalls, street performers, and locals, making for a vibrant experience. Stay the night in a Riad.
Day 2: Marrakech to Essaouira.
After breakfast, begin the drive to Essaouira, passing through arid landscapes and argan tree fields. Essaouira, a coastal city known for its laid-back atmosphere. Walk around the medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and visit the Skala de la Ville, the sea bastion offering panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. In the evening stroll through the harbour where local fishermen bring in fresh catches, and enjoy a seafood dinner. Stay the night in Essaouira.
Day 3: Essaouira.
Explore more of the medina, filled with artisan shops selling jewellery, woodcrafts, and textiles. Visit the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdallah Museum to learn about local history and culture. Relax on the beach or take a camel or horse ride along the coast. In the evening enjoy the calm atmosphere of Essaouira, known for its artistic vibe, before spending a second night here.
Day 4: Essaouira to Imsouane.
Today drive south to the quiet fishing village of Imsouane, a favourite spot for surfers. The town is famous for its long, mellow waves, making it ideal for both beginner and experienced surfers.Take a surfing lesson or simply enjoy watching surfers while you relax on the beach. The waves at Imsouane Bay are particularly long, giving surfers a smooth, extended ride. The town is small and quiet, so this is a perfect spot to unwind after a day by the ocean. Stay overnight in Imsouane.
Day 5: Imsouane to Agadir.
Drive to Agadir, a modern city rebuilt after an earthquake in 1960, known for its wide sandy beach and warm weather. Relax on Agadir Beach and walk along the Corniche, a long beachfront promenade lined with cafes, restaurants, and shops. You can also explore Agadir Marina, and enjoy the nightlife in Agadir, which has a more modern feel compared to other Moroccan cities.
Day 6: Agadir.
Visit the Souk El Had, one of the largest markets in Morocco, where you can shop for souvenirs, traditional clothing, and spices. Take a half-day trip to Paradise Valley, a beautiful spot with natural pools and waterfalls nestled in the Atlas Mountains, about 45 minutes from Agadir. Tonight you can relax in one of Agadir’s beach clubs or enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in one of its fine restaurants.
Day7: Agadir to Marrakech.
This morning we will drive back to Marrakech. You’ll pass through scenic landscapes, including the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Once back in Marrakech, you can spend your time revisiting the medina, or relaxing in a hammam (traditional bathhouse). Tonight you can enjoy your last dinner in Marrakech, perhaps at a rooftop restaurant with views over the city.
Day 8: Marrakech.
If you have a flight today, we will meet you at your hotel or riad at the appropriate time to take you to the airport.
