2 Day Tour
Marrakech to Zagora Desert
First off, yes! Morocco has more than one desert! The Zagora desert is rocky and sandy, but it does not have the fine orange sand people associate with the Sahara.
This trip is a great choice for those who want a taste of desert life but do not have the time to travel to the Sahara.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Zagora.
On the morning of the first day we will meet you wherever you are in Marrakech. We will drive over the High Atlas Mountains, through the Tizi n’Tichka pass, to the province of Ouarzazate. We will stop at Ait Ben Haddou. The 17th century ksar (fortified village) is a UNESCO World Heritage site in honour of its place in history. After exploring the traditional Berber architecture, we will drive to the Zagora Desert where you can enjoy a fresh cup of Moroccan Mint Tea - or Berber Whisky - before trekking to your campsite in the desert where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Zagora - Marrakech.
We will wake up early in the morning to witness a beautiful sunrise before trekking out of the desert. We will find a hotel for breakfast and a shower. Afterwards, we will return to Marrakech. We should be there by late afternoon.
